Investigate
No matter what business you are in today, you can pretty much conclude that your competitors are on the move. In order to compete in today's fast moving environment, sales reps need to be able to investigate the competition and decide how to position their products against their competitor's products to win customers.
For one of our clients, we created an online e-learning game where their sales reps could practice these skills. The sales reps are asked to accept a mission where they investigate clues about the competition using surveillance equipment, identify who the competitors are and then position their products with customers to win the sale. The interactive game motivates the sales rep to learn about their competitors and to deliver value to their customers. This game is part of a blended solution and is used as a pre-course for training class where the sales rep can further practice these skills with an instructor and be coached as to best practices.
